* = The manufacturer/supplier(s) of Mettler threads are in the
process of changing certain article numbers and most color numbers. Until this
lengthy spool-by-spool process is complete, orders may be filled with some
spools marked with the original article number while others bear the new article
number. The new article number is distinguished by the first number being a
nine. While the newer spools will bear the new article and color numbers they
will also have a label indicating the original color number (e.g.: "old col. xxxx").
Thank you for your patience and understanding and know that we too will be glad
when this process is completed by Mettler and our supplier(s).
The above images are new images from Mettler of the article 9161 spools. As
of January 2016 most of the 150m spools in our stock are still of the
original article number (and color numbers). More than 50% of our stock of
500m and 1000m are the newer article numbers. Orders may be filled with some
spools from either new or original article numbers until the change over is
complete. Please also note that our part numbers for the above threads have
not yet been changed/updated. When the threads are added to cart the part
numbers will still display as follows: 1THME1161xxx, 1THME1145xxx, or
1THME1155xxx. Yes, our website is more current than our purchasing/inventory
department. When our inventory person finally updates our part numbers our
website person will update the website to match. In the meantime ordering
may be confusing as adding a 'new' color to your shopping will result in an
'old' part number being shown. If one is mindful of this issue and their
selection(s) when adding items to cart there should not be a problem. If
this is an issue you want to avoid please order the above threads from the
original page where they are offered found
original page offers the same exact thread offered here but primarily uses
the original part numbers along with the old images provided by Mettler. The
thread is arranged on this page in 'new color number order' while the other
page remains in order by the original color numbers. Note: a couple of the
original color numbers were recycled by Mettler and are now assigned to
different colors. If there are any questions please call Gary at (941) 766-7118.
